Story 1 : he had lost everything

Texas

During a short visit in Texas the Hummingbird took a cab to go back to her hotel. The driver started a conversation about her visit.
Then this man told the Hummingbird that he had been a project manager in Venezuela where he originally came from. He had worked in lots of places and countries and had moved with his wife and family to the cities where he had to work. He had an amazing life and so did his family. Then, at a certain point in his life, because of sudden circumstances, he had lost everything and had to flee away with his family.
He found a new house in Texas where he could live. But, he had lost everything he had ever worked for, including his job.
Nevertheless, he was a grateful person.

Laughing every time

One day the Hummingbird met another nice person in Texas. He had a very joyful nature, laughing every time he said something. But what he was saying was very serious.

He came from Ivory Coast to France to the Texas to work. He told the Hummingbird that Ivory Coast had been famous for its cacao. It used to be a very rich country.
But after the wars the country had so many debts that it became a poor country.

He wanted to work to help his family so he took the step to first live in France and then he took the step to leave for the USA. All by himself he is working to support his family with a small job to try to make the best of it every day.

Listening to his story the Hummingbird thought that this nice person has been through a lot in his life.
